Is SPAM allowed in order to market my Distributorship?
SPAM is not permitted. Distributors & Affiliates will be immediately terminated, with the loss of all outstanding commissions if we receive SPAM complaints about your website.
 

How does the Distributorship program work?
Our program is the most flexible customer program on the Internet offering you the flexibility you need to compete. We offer you the ability to create coupons, set your own product prices, change the shipping charges and manage your own complex Affiliate Program. We provide the infrastructure including shopping cart & credit card processing, the products & services, a dynamic order platform, 24x7 customer support with on call Affiliate Managers to help you sell.

Our basic affiliate model is simple, we give you the products and shipping at wholesale, you mark them up, and make a sale, you keep 40% of the profit, we keep 60%.

Do you always ship customer orders the same day?
Unlike other programs we do not guarantee that an order will ship out the same day, and then fail to deliver, so we want to be as clear as possible about our shipping policy: If your order arrives before our 4pm EST cut off time, and our distribution center have stock available, it will ship the same day, otherwise it will ship the next business day, if the order arrives after the 4pm EST cut off the order will ship the next day only if stock is available, otherwise it will ship within 48 hours. Orders arriving over the weekend ship Monday if we have stock available, otherwise Tuesday. Orders arriving on a public holiday ship the next business day if stock is available, or within 48 hours.

Important: Orders only ship the same day if we have stock available.

 
Do you ship customer orders by FedEx?
Yes, some orders ship FedEx, DHL & UPS next day/2nd day delivery, (if requested); most orders are shipped USPS Priority mail for tracking purposes.
 
What does Berlanti charge for shipping?
We charge a fee based on the weight of the entire order and the shipping method requested. This includes the handling fee, and the shipping cost, you are free to charge whatever you like, or set your shipping to free.
 
Can I have multiple customer sites?
Yes, you are free to have as many distributorship sites as you like; free of charge, except for the initial construction of the website package.
 

When will I get paid my outstanding commission?
Our payment cycle runs on a bi-weekly basis from Friday 00:01AM EST to Thursday 12:00AM EST and you will be paid one week in arrears every other Friday. This means if today was Thursday and an order came through for you, you would not be paid for it until the Friday of the following week.

Will the money clear into my account the same day?
No, all payments batch out to our Bank on Friday but the money will not clear into your account until the following Monday. If you have an International Bank account (especially if an intermediate bank is required) the payment can take longer to arrive.
 
How will my commissions be paid?
After registering with our program you must enter your payment details in our back office system. We will payout by wire (ACH) directly to your account.
  Is there a charge for commission wires?
No; we do not charge for wires (ACH).
 
Is there a minimum commission amount before I will get paid?
Yes; because we don't charge for wires you will need a minimum commission balance of $100 before we can wire your commission.
 

Can you send me a commission check?
No; at this time we payout only by wire directly into your account.

How do you calculate commissions?
To calculate your commission simply subtract the cost of the product you sell from the sale price, you keep 40% we keep 60%. If you set the shipping charge to more than, or less than, the normal $10 shipping charge, or if you have Affiliates, or are using coupons, the commission formula is more complicated. The commission formula is (SALE_PRICE + SHIPPING_CHARGE - COST_OF_PRODUCTS - COST_OF_SHIPPING) * 60%. The COST_OF_SHIPPING is our fixed $10 charge. Payouts (if any) to your Affiliates are subtracted from the order profit before commission is calculated.
 

Are the product prices customizable?
Yes, you choose your own sale prices based on our wholesale prices.

Can I set my prices to anything I like?
Yes, the system won't allow you to set the prices below the cost price of the product concerned, beyond that you can set the price to whatever you like, but please make sure you don't start a price war by setting prices too low... It is possible to set the prices to the cost price and make money from shipping, but if you do this the market may shift downwards, this means we, and everyone else in the Industry ships more product for less money! We strongly discourage selling at cost price for this reason.
 

Can I customize the shipping charges?
Yes, you can set your shipping charges to fixed price shipping, free shipping, or a charge based on a percentage of the orders value. We will charge you a fixed $10 fee for shipping, if you charge more it will increase the order profit, if you charge less it will decrease it. Feel free to set shipping to whatever you want to, just be careful not to discourage sales.

  Is it true I can create coupons and send these to my customers?
Yes, you can create your own coupons with either a Fixed dollar discount, or a percentage off the order value. It is your responsibility to make sure that the sale always remains in profit.

Important: If the order is negative after we apply the $10 shipping fee, the order will be declined.

 

Can I recruit my own Affiliates?
Yes and we encourage you to.

  Can I set my Affiliate payouts to anything I like?
Yes, we give you complete flexibility here, when you sign up with us we create your store with default Affiliate payouts which you can change at any time. You must ensure that the order remains in profit at all times by setting your prices high enough, this is after taking into account the $10 we charge you for shipping, and after deducting all payouts to your Affiliates.

Important: If the order is negative after we apply your affiliate payouts, the order will be declined.

 

Do you provide Affiliates with support?
Yes, we provide our Affiliates with full support from setting up the business to technical issues, marketing the customer website, etc.

I'm not based in the U.S, can I still join?
Sure, International Affiliates are welcome, but keep in mind we don't ship products to foreign countries unless the order is paid by bank wire, cashiers' check or money orders. We have experienced too many fraudulent incidents with International purchases via credit cards.
 
How do I choose a website layout?
When you sign up for our program, you will be given the option to pick your layout. The layout can also be changed easily if you login to the back office with your login, take a look at the 'Templates' menu, from here you can download a new template for your site.
 
What platforms do your customer websites support?
All our sites use html, coldfusion or Php; so the platform you choose must be supported by your ISP. This means you will normally need "windows hosting" which is available for about $20 per month.
 

Can I join your program using my existing customer website?
Yes, in this case you can join us either by changing the order links or by allowing us to build you a new customer interface using your existing domain name.

Can I make changes to my customer website?
Yes you can, the website is almost fully customizable. Keep in mind that if you change your website you will not be able to automatically upgrade when we add new products.

Can I use link exchange to increase my website's traffic?
Yes you can, in fact this is one of the most frequent and free ways to market a website.
 
What products will be available on my customer websites?
You will be able to sell to your customers all the products that are in our inventory. In some cases you can even add your own products to your website for an additional fee.
  Can I transfer my hosting to Bent Hosting Service?
Yes, you may transfer your website to Bent hosting for no charge to you. In this way, we can update your website for you if you do not have the skills to accomplish this yourself.
 

When visitors subscribe to my newsletter do I get their email addresses?
Yes you do.

Do you send out emails to people subscribed to my newsletter?
No, we never email anyone who signed up for your newsletter, you need to do that, you can download the email addresses in the back office for everyone who has signed up.
 
Will purchases made from my customer website be secure? Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes, all orders from your website are processed on our secure server using an SSL certificate.
All orders are processed from start to finish via our secure servers . Any data submitted is encrypted, using 128-bit SSL technology. We protect all customer data against unauthorized access. We use secure technology, privacy protection controls and restrictions on employee access, to safeguard your personal information. Your information is safe and secure!
 
Could you recommend any marketing strategies to make my business profitable?
There are a few free methods you might wish to consider, which usually pay off, such as recruiting your own Affiliates or exchanging banners to increase your website traffic. However, we noticed that best profits come from high-ranking on major search engines, and this can be achieved either through search engine optimization or paid advertising.
